After lots of research into ebikes and excellent customer service and communication from Gareth I got my Impala last month. It was ready to go straight out of the box. Good handling both on and offroad, comfortable seat and suspension, and it’s given excellent mileage per charge so far. Great little bag of accessories included. It may be a folding bike, but this is a beast. At 5’6″ it’s taken a bit of adjustment to get the seat height right, and I’ve needed to learn how to stop as I can’t touch the ground safely without hopping off the seat, but it’s worth it. This is the ebike for you if you want something big, sturdy, powerful and great fun. Be prepared to turn some heads too!

Spoke to Gareth online and in person. I had explained to him that I had a leg disability and was keen to purchase the BGB Impala 750w. Gareth advised me that it had a throttle, as I don’t have the strength to push pedal from start. I test rode the bike, and fell in love with it. I ordered online the following week. Gareth is extremely knowledgeable in his bikes and business. I arranged to pick it up from his business one evening. The Impala, is a powerful punchy ebike with great torque. The first day I took it out I did 12 miles, without realising. The throttle is a must for me due to my disability and the step through design. My only concern was the peddles .They do not have any grip ,and are rather treacherous in wet weather, as my trainers did not grip ,and kept slipping off the pedals. However, I have ordered new pedals from Amazon with spikes .I use it mainly for commuting on and off road ,which performs brilliantly on both surfaces. Folding is easy ,but you have to learn the technique which will take several attempts to master .Overall a fantastic powerful bike ,cannot fault at all ( apart from changing the pedals ) .I must add that my feet did stay on during dry weather. I’ve had the Impala 750W for a year now so thought it was time to give it a review as it is an incredible bike:Usage:I use this bike for absolutely everything, its changed the way I interact with the city and opened up many new possibilities further afield. Living in central London I was sick of getting the tube everyday; the cost, the slowness and the uncomfortable nature of the journey was a pain. I am now able to get across London to work quicker and in a more enjoyable way. The bike can be used in the wet however on days where it is heavy rain I do leave it at home just to be safe and also to avoid getting soaked. The bike has also allowed me to do things I could not have done before such as join a golf club as I can now ride the bike there with clubs strapped to it. It really does open up so many possibilities.The bike:The bike itself is incredibly well built, the build quality is outstanding and all the parts are of a high quality. The seat is spring loaded to add even more comfort to the big shocks that absorb any bump in the road. When you inspect the bike you can understand how all the parts were sourced not to cut cost but to add as much quality as possible, it does feel premium. In terms of speed, this bike is amazing and can take you as fast as you want to go using the boost features in the manual – just make sure to follow the road laws. Its safe to say, if you wanted to, you could be the fastest bike on the road. The battery is also great and is plenty for a full day of riding. The company:It’s important to choose a reputable brand when picking an electric bike. The customer service has been incredible at Big Game Bikes. From answering questions about the bike before the purchase to constantly being available post purchase – I can not recommend this company enough. I even had a slight issue with my battery which was swiftly fixed by the company and sent back to me. This company won’t let you down on this front which is absolutely one of the main reasons you should choose them.Lasting thoughts:This bike really is amazing and I absolutely love it. It has made my every day life much easier and more efficient. The build quality is incredible and the performance of the bike is also top. When I bought this bike I was considering buying a Rad but decided to go with this option. I am so happy that I did. This is a great British business, producing top quality bikes and I cant recommend them enough.
